I don't know what it is about roundabouts that some people hate. I'm not sure if it's the unfamiliarity or lack of experience with navigating them, which can lead to feelings of uncertainty or anxiety. I know people personally who have extreme anxiety every time they drive through a roundabout. It's so bad that they will drive out of their way to avoid driving through one.

Roundabouts have become increasingly popular in the U.S. over the years, and more and more people are becoming more comfortable driving through them.

According to the Federal Highway Administration, the first modern American roundabouts were built in 1990 on the west side of Las Vegas.
