For the 4th year in a row, a local business is giving back to the community in a huge way by giving away 1,000 turkeys for Thanksgiving.

It's no secret that many Michigan residents are struggling this holiday season and finding it difficult to put food on the table. That's why this local business is stepping up again this year to help those in need.

Saturday, November 23, Light'N Up Cannabis Company will be giving away 1,000 frozen turkeys for Thanksgiving to Genesee County residents in need. They're also giving away an additional 300 turkeys to VetLife for our Veterans.

Light'N Up Cannabis Company:

We want to take a burden off your plate this holiday season by putting something on your plate: a turkey! We'll be giving out 1000 turkeys for FREE to anyone who needs one for their Thanksgiving dinner.

There are no requirements or sign-ups needed to receive a turkey—just show up and get yours while they last. The only advice I'd offer is to arrive early, as people tend to line up really early.
