Halo Burger Announces Grand Reopening Date for Downtown Flint Location
Halo Burger has announced a grand reopening date for its downtown Flint location on Saginaw Street.
The historic location was originally a Vernors Ginger Ale retail store and soda fountain, and remains one of Genesee County’s most well-known buildings.
The reopening of Halo Burger in this iconic spot has the community buzzing, and the wait is almost over.
When is Halo Burger reopening in downtown Flint?
The grand reopening is Monday, April 27th, 2026. The celebration will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 AM, with the Flint & Genesee Group and the local chamber. Doors will officially open to the public at 10:00 AM.

The day will feature plenty of fun giveaways and a lively atmosphere throughout the celebration. Giveaways at the event include the following,
- The first 300 guests who purchase a Boston Cooler will receive a custom collectible Halo Burger × Vernors glass.
- Vintage-inspired Halo Burger T-shirts (while supplies last)
- Halo Burger hats (while supplies last)

I know I am not the only one excited to see Halo Burger back in downtown Flint. Halo Burger Marketing Director Domenique Lopez had this to say about the reopening,
