Isn't There a Cannabis Smoking Lounge (area) at Pine Knob?

Some of the confusion comes from the cannabis-sponsored lounge at Pine Knob in Clarkston.

In 2021, Lume Cannabis Co. announced a partnership with 313 Presents to become the exclusive cannabis brand of DTE Energy Music Theatre (now Pine Knob).

A lot of concertgoers think it's a dispensary area where they can go buy weed, hang out, and smoke down. That's simply not the case. As mentioned above, smoking weed in public places is illegal.

According to Michigan Cannabis Trail, cannabis consumption and purchase is not permitted on-premises; however, the lounge contains indoor areas where guests can purchase Lume-branded merchandise and learn about the company’s retail offerings across its 18 off-site recreational dispensaries.

If you think drink prices are high, can you imagine what it would cost for a pre-roll joint at a concert venue?
