Lapeer Introduces A Magical Phone Booth For Santa Calls
The Lapeer Downtown Development Authority is offering the community a direct line to the North Pole, giving people of all ages the opportunity to leave a message for Santa Claus.
Children can still mail letters to Santa Claus, but this new phone booth gives families in Lapeer County and beyond a fun new way to leave him a message and start a new holiday tradition.
That’s right - this unique phone booth is a permanent addition to Historic Downtown Lapeer.
You are encouraged to let the Lapeer Downtown Development Authority know who you would like to hear on the other end of the phone throughout the year.
I think this is such a cool thing to do for the community, and talk about great photo opportunities during the holiday season. It is something fun, nostalgic, and totally unique that families can enjoy together. The perfect way to make memories and capture festive moments.
This will be the first time many kids have ever seen a phone booth - and just like that, what is old is new again. I have a feeling this could be a hot spot for senior pictures, engagements, selfies, family Christmas card photos, or just because pictures.
As mentioned in the Lapeer DDA Facebook post above, this phone booth was made possible by Beyer's Furniture of Lapeer. Thanks to everyone involved
If heading to downtown Lapeer to leave a message for Santa Claus is now on your list of things to do this holiday season, be sure to plan on having breakfast, lunch, or dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area.
Cheers, and happy holidays.
