Frankenmuth’s New Hotel Will Elevate The Local Landscape

Excitement is growing around The Mill at Zehnder Park in Frankenmuth.

Plans for Frankenmuth's first-of-its-kind luxury hotel were announced in early 2025, with an official opening expected in 2026.

Soon, Frankenmuth will be celebrated for more than its famous chicken dinners and Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland.

What can guests expect at The Mill at Zehnder Park?

According to Zehnders, The Mill at Zehnder Park will offer a one-of-a-kind luxury boutique experience with just four exclusive suites, unlike anything guests have encountered at Zehnder’s before.

Each suite will include a private walk-out balcony with views of the Cass River.

Landmark Lounge will be located beneath The Mill at Zehnder Park and is expected to become a guest favorite. According to the Detroit Free Press, the intimate space will seat approximately 50 guests and feature handcrafted cocktails alongside a limited menu.

When the Zehnders family purchased the mill in 2022, they knew exactly what it was meant to be.

The vision for the property was immediate: a luxury boutique hotel. An opportunity to repurpose this iconic structure while honoring the milling history, our community, and company through stories and artifacts. We didn’t want the milling story, began on this site in 1848, lost as was the original mill.

Frankenmuth has so much to offer, from great restaurants and unique shops to the family-favorite Zehnder’s Splash Village.
