A Michigan woman schooled America in regards to 'Yoopers' on 'Wheel of Fortune'.

Kiki Maples, of Manistique, appeared on the popular TV game show on Friday, January, 31st, 2025. The contestant is a bartender at a golf course and she and Ryan Seacrest laughed over 'slinging drinks' for golfers.

Maples told the game show host, that she is a troll turned Yooper, which most likely sounded like a foreign language to viewers unfamiliar with the Great Lakes State. Kiki broke it down for the audience,

'Trolls in Michigan are people who are born south of the Mackinac Bridge or downstate. Yoopers are born in the Upper Peninsula. So I was born in southern Michigan. Now I live in the U.P.'

Unfortunately, the troll turned Yooper was not the big winner on the show, but she did walk away with over $7000. Not too shabby at all.
