Matt LeBlanc’s CBS Drama ‘Flint’ Generates Early Buzz in Michigan
Matt LeBlanc is set to star in a new CBS television show called 'Flint'.
The show is still in development, but because its working title is 'Flint', there is already a lot of curiosity across Michigan.
The most obvious question - will the show be based in Flint, Michigan? According to TV Insider, the show is described as follows,
Flint tells the story of a burnt-out LAPD detective who, on the verge of retirement, is blindsided when the city extends his service by five years. Determined to get fired, he breaks rules and disobeys orders, which, to his dismay, makes him an even better cop.
But wait - A Facebook page called Friend Unseen shared this description of the project,
LeBlanc is set to star in and executive produce a new CBS crime drama titled Flint, which follows a burnt‑out LAPD officer who leaves Los Angeles behind to start over in Flint, Michigan — a city facing deep economic and social challenges.
For all we know, the character Matt LeBlanc will be playing could have the last name Flint, which might explain the title.

The project is being developed through CBS Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television.
What makes me think the city of Flint could be tied in is that Jerry Bruckheimer was born and raised in Detroit, and he was a producer on Beverly Hills Cop and Beverly Hills Cop II.
That is just a hunch, but it would be awesome to see a TV show set in Flint - as I mentioned, maybe the main character is Detective Flint.
If the show does indeed become a series, it will air in the 2027-2028 season.
