Springing Forward In Michigan: Daylight Saving Time 2025

Michigan will spring forward on Sunday, March 9th, 2025.

It's beyond me why we continue to practice Daylight Saving Time. Every year, there is a discussion about canceling it, but here we are again.

I don't know about you, but I am certainly ready for warmer weather, and longer daylight hours.

When do we spring forward in Michigan?

At 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, clocks will jump to 3:00 AM. Sure, we lose an hour - but it also means spring is near.

The first offical day of spring is Thursday, March 20th, 2025.

Michiganders are not alone when it comes to Daylight Saving Time. The only states in the US that do not observe the time change are Hawaii and Arizona.

Sure there is plenty to do in the Great Lakes State during the winter months, but spring in Michigan has much to offer. Get ready for golfing, fishing, boating, festivals, bike rides, and walking outdoors without freezing your butt off.
