Monroe Cannabis Shop Arson Attempt Backfires on Suspects
Two men recently attempted to burn down a Michigan cannabis shop, and luckily, things did not go as planned. It is safe to say their plan backfired.
The pair drove a vehicle through the front entrance of Pure Cannabis Outlet on Dixie Highway in Monroe on Sunday, May 10, 2026.
As you will see in the video below, the “not so dynamic duo” jumped out of the Jeep Cherokee, and one of them began pouring gasoline all over. The situation quickly escalated, leaving both individuals engulfed in flames.
Mike Bahoura, the owner of Pure Cannabis, told Click On Detroit that the attack feels intentional,
I never thought anybody would take it to this level and maybe they didn’t. I don’t know, but it definitely feels targeted.
Luckily, the business was equipped with sprinklers, and the fire was out quickly.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident as a case of breaking/entering, and arson. Mr. Bahoura is offering a $25,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the parties involved.

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP, or tipsters can call the Monroe County Sheriff's Department at (734) 240-7530.
Reports indicate the vehicle used to smash into the business was stolen and was left at the scene. Witnesses report that the pair were later picked up by another vehicle.
I don't think it will be long until these two are brought to justice.
