A Davison Middle School student was found in possession of a knife, rubber gloves, and a list of potential targets. The incident occurred last week, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Parents were notified about the incident after the unidentified student was taken into custody. ABC 12 shared a letter sent to Davison Middle School parents containing the following information. The letter was sent on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

When school resumed on Tuesday, a school principal and dean of students logged into our school alert system. Upon doing so, they discovered that our security system had flagged a Davison Middle School student for using school digital resources to search for material of a violent nature during Spring Break. We immediately removed the student from class and brought the student to the office, where the student was interviewed.

The investigation is ongoing. You can read the letter in its entirety here.
