Have you ever read something and just feel sick to your stomach? This one hit me hard. It happened last week in Flint, but honestly, more people need to see this because it is flat-out disgusting.

Two German Shepherds were dumped at Thread Lake near the Flint Golf Club. Dumped. In a cage. In the water. Like trash. Their names were Ringo and Star, and someone made the conscious decision to leave them there to die. Evil. There is no other word for it.

Star somehow managed to break out and chased down a pickup truck until someone finally stopped. She literally led some people back to Ringo, who was still trapped in the cold mud, freezing, scared, and in pain. I cannot get that image out of my head. He sat there for hours while whoever did this just drove off without a care in the world.

According to ABC 12, animal control rushed both dogs to the shelter, but Ringo’s injuries were too severe. Multiple broken bones, exposure, trauma. It was all just too much. They had to euthanize him the next day. That is soul-crushing.

That dog should have been safe in someone’s home, not dying because some scumbag human failed him in the worst possible way.

Crime Stoppers is offering $1,000 for information. Someone in this community knows who did this. If you do, call 1-800-422-JAIL and say something.

Flint deserves better than monsters like this, and Ringo deserved so much better than the way his life ended. Star survived and still needs a foster or rescue, so if you can help, please do.
