It’s frightening to think that you could be attacked at random for no reason whatsoever while doing a simple chore, like taking the garbage out. That’s what happened to a local resident-turned-victim after a terrifying attack yesterday.

Attack at Fuller Apartments

A Genesee County man was simply taking out his trash when he suddenly found himself being attacked. The incident happened last night (September 24, 2025) around 9:20 p.m. at Fuller Apartments located in Clio.

The resident was taking garbage to a dumpster when the suspect confronted him and demanded his wallet. That’s when the suspect pulled a knife and attacked the resident in the parking lot. The injured man sustained a small wound but was treated by emergency response teams.

Police Search for Suspect

The attacker fled into a wooded area north of the apartment complex. K-9 units from both the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and Flint Police were deployed in an attempt to track the suspect, but had no luck.

As of this morning (September 25, 2025) the suspect remains at large. Police are still searching for the suspect, describing him as a white male in his early 30s with a scruffy beard. He had on a black ball cap and was wearing a gray hoodie, blue jeans, and was carrying a black duffel bag.

While the Clio Police Department believes this is an isolated incident, they are urging residents to remain cautious and vigilant. If you have any information, you are urged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.
