What happened to Cranberries Café in Goodrich?

According to a final social media post, the restaurant ended its run October 28th.

Renovations will begin and the restaurant will re-open under a new name and ownership in the coming weeks.

The restaurant was sure to thank the community for their support since the restaurant opened in 1994.

They thanked the staff "that have become family" for their dedication, too.

A Historic Building and Legacy of Delicious Food

The building dates back to the late 1800s. When Patty Plant and her husband opened the cafe in 1994, they didn't serve dinner.

That changed in 2001. There was a fire in 1998 which caused a closure for a short time.

The interior design is, too, historic. The beautiful cherry wood bar is over 100 years old from an old tavern in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

We're looking forward to seeing what's next at 10250 Hegel Road in Goodrich. And we thank Cranberries Cafe for all the memories & great food over the last 30 years.
