It was a lot of fun watching a Northern Michigan man represent the Mitten on Wheel of Fortune this week. Although he did great on the show, he couldn't 'Finish the Job.'

David Livermore from Garnet, Michigan, cleaned up on the iconic game show Monday, winning over $10,000 and a two-week river cruise through Eastern Europe. Garnet is about 40 miles northwest of the Mackinac Bridge in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

He even told host Pat Sajak in the contestant introduction portion of the show that it had been his goal to get him to say 'Yooper.' Achievment unlocked!

Solving Puzzles Like a Boss

Livermore opened the episode by solving the show's first 'Toss Up' puzzle and winning a quick $1,000. Take a look and see if you would have been able to guess correctly.

Would you have been able to come up with "Stretching my legs"?

His fellow contestants each solved the next two puzzles and then Livermore solved the show's nightly prize puzzle. See if you can guess correctly before I reveal the answer.

If you guessed "Priceless Family Heirloom" you're correct. Thanks to that solve, Livermore is headed on a cruise through Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Hungary.

"You know where they're most happy?" Sajak quipped after Livermore's solve. "In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!"

Livermore then went on to win the show's final spin puzzle, "Sun-Soaked Beaches" and became the show's big winner.

Wheel of Fortune's Final Round

David went on to the show's bonus round but, unfortunately, couldn't come with a solution to the final puzzle. As I often do, I was yelling the correct answer at the TV - but Livermore couldn't hear me. See if you can come up with it:

"Finishing the Job" was the correct answer, which would have netted the UP man another $40,000.

David noted earlier this week that he was one of a few contestants hand-picked by the show to appear during Pat Sajak's final week as host.
