Nine Winners Chosen for Michigan’s First ‘I Voted’ Sticker Contest [PHOTOS]
Winning designs from young artists in Rockford, Lansing, Holly, Grosse Pointe, and other areas have been chosen for Michigan's first 'I Voted' sticker contest.
The call went out in May of this year, asking for submissions from three different age groups: Elementary/Middle School (grades K-8), High School (grades 9-12), and general entry (open to Michigan residents of all ages). Entrants were asked to design new 'I Voted' stickers which residents will receive when they go to the polls in November.
According to Michigan.gov, more than 480 designs were submitted.
We shared a few of our favorites with you when we asked you to vote in July, and Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said the response was overwhelming - as over 57,700 people weighed in to decide the winners.
"Congratulations to our winners in the state’s first 'I Voted' sticker design contest," Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson said. "I was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and creativity from the people of our great state."
