One Hour from Lapeer, Michiganders Shocked by Surprise Earthquake
A little over one hour east of Flint, MI off I-69 in Marysville, Michiganders got a belated holiday surprise from Mother Nature.
An earthquake.

It's not often we get a quake in the Mitten State. The last time, according to the United States Geological Survey recorded a small quake in Michigan was July 2022.

Where was the earthquake in Michigan?
Technically, this quake had an epicenter on the Canadian side of the St. Clair River near Corunna Ontario.
That's across from Marysville.
St. Clair, MI is just down the river. Some would call it the northernmost part of Metro Detroit.

The last time it happened in that area was May 23, 2022. The epicenter was located about the same distance from Corunna, Ontario, but to the North/Northwest.
