Popular New Store in Burton Closer to Opening

Last year we first reported, when Staples closed at Courtland Center in Burton that a new tenant immediately claimed the property.

One of the country's most popular discount retailers, Ross Dress for Less, has been teasing its arrival for months.

Several months have passed and there are visible signs of progress on the exterior of the building.

Signage has been placed and a "now hiring" poster is on the wall.

The location is on the opposite end of the mall from the popular El Cozumel Mexican Grill.

Taking advantage of prime real estate from other, former retail giants like Bed Bath & Beyond, Ross bought a lot of prime real estate.

They're quickly expanding around Michigan.

The company buys closeout products from retailers around the country. Then resells them at a discount of 20% to 60%.

Bargain-minded shoppers will love searching for their next find, including clothing for women, men and children.

When will Ross open in Burton?

We spoke with an associate from the White Lake store to see if they knew the exact opening date -- they estimated no later than July.

Previously, the opening was anticipated around March 2024. Considering the "Now Hiring" sign is up -- it's possible the opening will still be this spring.
