Police Respond to Residents Who Hear Babies Crying Outside Homes

It may be yet another way to lure someone out of their home in order to commit a crime. Police in Pittsburg have responded to several residents who have reported hearing what they believe to be a crying baby or a child crying for help.

Police who have responded to several incidents say the cries may be coming from a recording but have not been able to track down where the sounds are coming from. The possible scam may be isolated to that area or it could be a new tactic used by criminals in order to entice people to open their doors.

Police in Pittsburgh are urging anyone who hears what could be a suspicious recording to keep their doors shut and to call 911.
