Lapeer Grad Serving In Air Force Surprises Brother and Sister At School
Proof that I actually am human and I am capable of feelings - I cried watching this military homecoming video. To be honest, I cry watching any surprise military homecoming video. The fact that this particular video was filmed in Lapeer, makes it even more special.
According to the MLive YouTube channel, the man in the video is 20-year-old Ethan Boyns. The former Lapeer High School graduate is in the Air Force and is currently stationed in Nebraska. This past Monday, December 6th, the airman surprised his younger sister Gracie Bright first and then surprised his younger brother Brady next.
Each time I watched the video, I picked up a new detail. For example, in the picture above of Ethan hugging Brady - look at the boy to the right. The look of shock on his face is absolutely priceless. You really have to be made of stone to not get emotional in a situation like this.
Just last month I shared another military homecoming video with you that was filmed at Bishop International Airport in Flint. This particular video featured Brett Courts of Birch Run, reuniting with his mother. At that time, Bret was returning home after serving a year-long tour with the United States Navy. Talk about a happy homecoming. You can check out the footage here.
Thank you to both Ethan Boyns and Brett Courts for your service, it is appreciated. I would also like to give a special shout-out to both families for sharing these special moments with us. I wish you all a happy and healthy holiday season.
