Lapeer County Man Dies After Hitting Deer While Riding His Motorcycle

Tragic and very sad news out of Lapeer County. Columbiaville resident Brian Putnik died after hitting a deer while riding his motorcycle. 

The accident happened Monday night on on Peppermill Road between Lake George and Force in Attica Township. According to reports, Putnik, 42, attempted to stop - but the impact was so great that the deer actually attached to the front of his Harley. Putnik did have a valid cycle endorsement and police say he was indeed following all traffic rules. Our thoughts are definitely with all of Brian's family and friends.
