
Lapeer County Sheriff Critically Injured in Early Morning Crash
The Lapeer County sheriff was involved in a crash this morning sending the sheriff to the hospital with critical injuries.
Sheriff Ron Kalanquin, was rushed to Hurley Medical Center in Flint after being involved with a head-on collision around 7 a.m. on Davison Road near Oak Road. According to reports from FOX 2 Detroit, A driver of a mini-van crossed the center line and hit Kalanquin head on while the sheriff was heading to a meeting.
The driver of the mini-van was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. There is no word yet on what Sheriff Kalanquin's condition is at this time.
