The owners of the dogs believed responsible for the death of a Livonia man are expected to face criminal charges according to the Lapeer County Prosecutors Office. Craig Sytsma, 46, died last Wednesday after he was viciously attacked by two large dogs while he was jogging on Thomas Road.

Court documents indicate that Sebastino Quagliata is the dog owner. Police claim that Sytsma was jogging about 5:30 in the afternoon, when two large dogs attacked him on the road. Police arrived on the scene after gunshots were heard, but discovered that the shots were fired by a neighbor who was trying to scare the dogs away from the attack. Sytsma died from the injuries while being treated at McLaren Lapeer region Hospital. Police reportedly had been called to this home two other times in dog-bite related cases.
