Lapeer County will decide if the Lapeer County Road Commission will get a 1.85 -mill road millage proposal passed to repair and rebuild the roads, and if marijuana will be decriminalized in the City of Lapeer. It is your chance to make your vote count!

The polls opened at 7am this morning and will be open till 8pm tonight for you to let your voice be heard. There are 11 other communities in Michigan with pro-marijuana initiatives on the ballot. Decriminalization would allow adults, 21 and older, to possess less than one ounce of pot on personal property for recreational use.

Politics are also on the ballot. The 82nd House seat is now vacant and Todd Courser and Margaret Guerrero-DeLuca will be battling for that seat. The 31st Senate District representative chair is also on the ballot.

Make sure you get out and vote today!
