Massive Storm Brings Tornadoes to the South, Snow to the North
A winter storm is heading for Michigan that has the potential to dump a foot of snow in some spots. In the meantime, it is expected to spawn a tornado outbreak in parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida today.
Here in Mid-Michigan, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon. Clouds will thicken overnight tonight before a mix of rain and snow move in on Wednesday. As of now, Genesee County could see 3 to 7 inches of snow, while Lapeer County is expecting 5 inches up to a foot!
In addition to a wet, heavy snow, we're also going to be dealing with high winds making travel increasingly difficult.
