Filmmaker Michael Moore says he's concerned that Joe Biden isn't doing enough in Michigan to win the election and that a repeat of the 2016 presidential race is a very real possibility.

The Davison native sounded the alarm during an interview with The Hill last week, saying the Biden campaign is doing a worse job than Hilary Clinton's did four years ago.

Moore referenced poll numbers released in June that showed Biden with a 16 point lead over President Donald Trump and a recent poll by the Detroit Free Press that indicates that his lead has been cut to eight points.

“The fact that Trump has narrowed the lead by 50 percent since June should have everybody screaming bloody murder," Moore said. "We don’t have a minute to lose on this.”

Moore went on to opine that Biden's campaign needs to concentrate on winning votes from African American voters, rather than winning over Republicans.

“It’s actually worse than Hillary,” Moore said. “At least there was a ground game, even though she didn’t show up. There were Hillary offices in many towns, there were door-to-door campaigns.”

In a 2017 interview with Stephen Colbert, Moore said that he had tried to warn the Clinton campaign that it was in danger of losing in Michigan. Donald Trump beat Hilary Clinton in Michigan by about a half a percentage point in 2016.
