Nik Stauskas scored 22 points, including six 3-point shots, and fourth-seeded Michigan routed third-seeded Florida, 79-59, in the 2013 NCAA tournament's South Regional final in Arlington, Tex. on Sunday. Trey Burke, whose dramatic 3-pointer helped save Friday's game against Kansas, added 15 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Wolverines.
With the victory, Michigan advanced to play East Regional champ Syracuse in the 2013 Final Four in Atlanta next Saturday. It's the Wolverines' first trip to the national semifinals since the program's back-to-back appearances in 1992 and 1993 with Chris Webber, Jalen Rose and the rest of the "Fab Five."
Kenny Boynton and Will Yeguete scored 13 points each to lead Florida. The Gators shot just 20 percent from behind the 3-point line in the game. Florida fell behind 35-15 in the first half and never seriously threatened.
