Last week Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced she was going to reopen manufacturing with many going back to work today. The Big Three automakers including General Motors, Ford, and Fiat Chrysler were included in the announcement but they don't plan on resuming work until May 18.

Once workers return to the job, one thing they'll notice is a bunch of changes. According to WDIV,  those changes include daily entry screenings for everyone entering the facility, a questionnaire covering symptoms and exposure to people with possible COVID-19 and temperature checks as soon as no-touch thermometers can be obtained.

Working here at the radio station, we haven't seen a lot of changes aside from there being fewer faces in the building. Some jocks are still coming in and doing their shows from the studios, while some feel safer working from the comforts of their homes. I'm glad a lot of people are working from home and not coming in and touching all the equipment in the studios. The fewer bodies in the building, the better.

I'm really looking forward to the day we can look back at all of this, only to remember how truly crazy all of this has been. I'm all about playing it safe and not rushing to reopen the state but I'm ready for this to be over.

Are you back to work today? Where do you work and what kind of changes are you seeing? We'd love to hear from you.
