The minimum wage is set to increase for Michigan workers in 2017, and as you can see by the look on "Rich Uncle Pennybags" face, some people aren't happy about it.

Starting January 1st, 2017, the minimum wage is going from $8.50 an hour to $8.90 an hour.

That's right, people who have been trying to scrape by on $8.50 an hour will now be able to fill their swimming pools with gold doubloons and go all "Scrooge McDuck" on it (see figure below).

Some Michigan business owners are not happy with the increase, saying that it will eventually result in the cost of products going up.

There's no telling what will happen when the Michigan minimum wage increases again in 2018 to $9.25 an hour.

Luckily we all have an entire year to pick out what color Range Rover we want to buy.
