Michigan Vietnam Traveling Wall at Ray C’s in Lapeer
The Michigan Vietnam Traveling Wall at Ray C's in Lapeer, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. honoring service members of the U.S. Armed Forces who fought in the Vietnam War and died in service or were unaccounted for during the war, will travel to Lapeer on Memorial Day Weekend and be displayed at Ray C's Harley-Davidson.
The wall will arrive at Ray C's on Friday, May 25 (5/25) at 11 AM followed by an opening ceremony at 1 PM, round-the-clock viewing at 1:15 PM and coffee and cake served in The Lodge at 1:30 PM.
A ceremony to honor all fallen veterans will be held on Saturday, May 26 (5/26) at 12 PM followed by lunch at 12:30 PM which will be served until gone, a closing prayer at 4 PM and viewing ending at 4:30 PM.
The event is co-hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4139; American Legion Post 16; Voiture 40 & 8 of Lapeer; Daughters of the American Revolution; Davison Eagle Riders; Marine Corps League of Lapeer; Lapeer HOG Chapter 2286; Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 287 of Lapeer County; The City of Lapeer; Lapeer Area Chamber of Commerce; Ray C’s Harley-Davidson; Iron Horse Cowboys and the Lapeer County Vietnam Commemorative Committee.
