A lot of talent comes from Mott Community College, and now Emmy winners can be added to the list.

According to the story from WNEM TV, a group of students that hail from Mott Community College's Media Arts program have won an Emmy in the category of student production with their work on Brothers. You can check out the short film above, or on YouTube.

This is amazing and I am so proud of these students coming from my alma mater, go Mott Bears! But, the excitement of the accomplishment is better said by David Rembiesa, associate professor and program coordinator, who remarked:

I cannot tell you how proud I am. They worked really hard this summer. If you watch the film it's very epic. It's kind of a fantasy piece that's got horses, sword fighting, all sorts of things going on.

This award is the first major award the program has won. The film has also picked up Michigan Regional Student Production Award, from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
