Multiple People Stabbed, One Arrested on Amtrak Train in Michigan
A person is under arrest after reportedly stabbing multiple people on a Amtrak train near the state's southwest side near Niles.
The Detroit News says the incident happened around 7 p.m. The Niles Police Department have not released any information on the number of people stabbed or what the injuries were. The train was stopped around 9:45 p.m. and travels daily between Chicago and Port Huron.
The incident sparked several Tweets where someone posted a picture of someone appearing to be handcuffed and face down on the floor of the train. An Amtrak spokesperson confirmed the incident saying the "Niles Police Department have a person in custody and the investigation is ongoing" and their police department would assist in the investigation.
