Earlier this week we told you about an accident that took place involving a semi-truck that was hauling livestock on I-94 near the I-75 interchange.

On Monday, February 22nd a trailer that was carrying 38 cows overturned at around 3:10 p.m. on the westbound I-94 ramp headed to southbound I-75. The accident which was likely caused due to speeding forced the freeway to be shut down for about 16 hours. The driver was not injured in the accident.

When police arrived on the scene, it must have been a horrific sight. 20 of the 38 cows had to be euthanized as the result of their brutal injuries. The rest of the cows were returned to their owners.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is now ready to make their statement regarding what happened. Their statement will be in the form of a billboard near the scene of the accident that forced so many cows to be euthanized.

According to MLive, PETA says it will place the billboard proclaiming, “See the Individual. Go Vegan” near the crash site in honor of the cows who were “shot dead after being severely injured.”

I'm not sure what kind of an outcome they are expecting from this. Will people "Go Vegan?" I highly doubt it.

It was an unfortunate accident but if you think I'm going to stop eating meat over it, you're out of your mind. I have no problem with vegans, the only problem I have are people pushing their agenda (to go vegan) on everyone else.
