I believe there is some saying, and or joke about seasons in Michigan - one of them being road construction season. It makes total sense.

Right now, we are in the middle of that season. Michigan roads are the worst, and seem to be in constant repair. Before I start complaining about loose stone on roads, let me say I am happy to see road construction, especially right now on Bristol Road in Burton. I drive it everyday to work, and it has been awful for years. Hill Road and Grand Blanc Road are also under construction right now too. I know it can be a pain at times, but well worth it when it's done.

My beef is with drivers on loose stone on roads that are getting prepped for construction. I am sure there is a reason for it , but why do some motorists drive down those roads at 55 miles per hour or more? When you approach one of these roads, you are met with a sign that reads 'loose stone' or 'loose gravel', and a speed limit posted of 35 miles per hour. I am no grandma driver, but I drive even slower than 35 miles per hour, because I am trying to protect my car from the rocks.

A lot of drivers in my experience don't seem to care about their vehicles, or anyone else's on the road. Don't they (maybe even you) realize they are shooting rocks/gravel at other cars on the road? I have even been passed by clowns on these types of roads, and boy do I have some choice words, and gestures for those drivers.

Sure I try to avoid these types of roads, but sometimes it is unavoidable. Ugh. I cannot be the only one who feels this way. Please be courteous to other drivers and slow the eff down on loose stone roads. Thank you.
