Testimony from six witnesses was heard in a Lapeer County courtroom to determine if there is enough evidence to send the embezzlement case against Judge Konschuh to trial. Prosecutors charge that the judge deposited money his office received from a bad check recovery program into a personal bank account rather than a county-maintained account. Following the hearing, Konschuh's attorney said "Our position is none of this has anything to do with public funds." A date for testimony to continue has not been set.
