“Relativity” is now on display at Gallery 194 through Saturday, February 7th. Webster’s dictionary defines ‘relativity’ as “A theory that all motion must be defined relative to a frame of reference and that space and time are relative, rather than absolute concepts.” At Gallery 194, however, that is being redefined as “A collaboration between relatives taking over the walls of Gallery 194. “Relativity” showcases sisters, Marianna Fiedor and Marilyn Biefer along with their very talented children, Amanda, Brent and Aaron, fill the gallery walls with a collection of colorful creations that are truly unique and will warm you right up during this cold winter weather.

Marianna Fiedor is a local Lapeer artist and retired North Branch Art educator and her paintings created out of watercolor, acrylic, and various textures create stunning abstract works that inspire and capture the imagination.

Marilyn Biefer is a retired Kingston art educator. She explores a variety of media with her work including watercolor, acrylic, and oil paint. Her subjects are as varied as her chosen mediums ranging from colorful abstract creations to classic still life and landscapes.

Brent Fiedor is a graduate of the culinary program at Robert Morris University of Illinois and is now the Executive Chef at The Turf Room in North Aurora, Illinois. Brent will tempt your appetite with a photographic display of his culinary creations that are as beautiful to look at as they are delicious.

For RELATIVITY she has created several masterful floral arrangements, designs that combine sculptural elements with natural beauty. Her work will have you thinking spring as you tour the rest of this vibrant exhibit.

Artist and sculptor Aaron Biefer is founder of Bulldog Welding and creates his masterpieces in his Holly, MI. studio. Primarily an iron worker, Aaron’s sculptors combine both organic forms with contemporary design elements that will intrigue your three dimensional senses.
