Gwen Stefani Greets Fans in Midland While Enjoying Local Spots

Singer, and former judge on "The Voice", Gwen Stefani was spotted hitting the mall and grabbing some pizza in Midland this past weekend. Surprised fans couldn't contain themselves and are sharing their run-ins with the star all over social media.

Stefani was in town because her husband Blake Shelton was performing at Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort on Saturday night. She has been joining Shelton on the road for several gigs this summer. She actually ended up surprising concertgoers when she joined Shelton on stage at the show, but the big sightings were during the day by unsuspecting fans.

Stefani decided to check out the local area while Shelton prepared for the show, and made her way into downtown Midland. One of her stops had her checking out Pizza Sam’s in Downtown Midland. Restaurant worker Ashley Brandt told the Midland News she wasn't sure it was the megastar walking through the door at first.

“She was normal,” Brandt said. “She didn’t have security or anybody with her.”

Brandt waited at Stefani and her son at their table, where she ordered drinks and a small cheese pizza and it was then she noticed Stefani’s necklace, which read “Stefani” and “Shelton”, that confirmed it was truly the singer. Ashely was able to grab a picture as did other staff members that share them on the restaurant's Facebook page all noting that Stefani was sweet and more than willing to take photos with her fans.

The Midland pizza place wasn't Stefani's only stop in Midland. The singer made an impromptu appearance for some shopping at the Midland Mall. That's where Lauryn Grace was able to snap a photo with Stefani when she saw her exiting Fantastic Finds antique shop.

“I had to do a double take a couple of times," Grace told the Midland Daily News. "I was not expecting a famous person at the mall. She was friendly, like a normal, down-to-earth person".
