Sly Stone Denies Homeless Reports
Sly Stone is downplaying rumors that he's down and out. The music legend tells RumorFix.com he's moving into a new RV that will enable him to access his e-mail and feels far from broke or homeless as reports have suggested in recent days. Stone has been living in a parked camper on a residential street in Los Angeles' Crenshaw neighborhood, but says it's by his own design. He tells RumorFix he fears for his safety as it relates to a multi-million-dollar lawsuit he has pending against his former manager. Sly says his money is tied up in the court and is keeping a low profile because "too many people are ending up dead" with his lawsuit.
The Sly and the Family Stone frontman says his new RV is a gift from people who've been looking out for his well being. Stone, who admits to having a problem with substance abuse, also tells RumorFix he's been clean for "about two weeks" now, but is willing to re-address his issues in rehab for an eighth time with plans to enter a facility next week.
