The Detroit Tigers will play the Minnesota Twins, March 7th.  Instead of being in Florida, the game will be played in the Dominican Republic.

According to Major League Baseball, the Tigers and Twins game will be played on March 7th in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

The game will be the first Major League game played there since 2000 Spring Training when the Red Sox played the Astros.

The Tigers haven't played internationally since they took part in the Roberto Clemente Series in Puerto Rico in 1980.  The Twins last played internationally in 2018 in Puerto Rico against the Cleveland Indians.

The Tigers usually play their spring games in Lakeland, Florida and the Twins are in Fort Myers, Florida.

The two teams will play each other before their game in the Dominican Republic in Fort Myers on March 3rd.
