Steven Tyler has purchased a two-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom home on Hawaii’s Maui island for $4.8 million — and believe it or not, he got quite a deal on it. The 3,000-square-foot pad was listed for $6.5 million.

Located in a nature preserve area near Waileahe, the pentagonal oceanfront retreat features several outdoor decks overlooking the ocean, a floor-to-ceiling aquarium and an infinity-edge saltwater pool. The Aerosmith singer purchased the property from Fred Constant, owner of Constant-Diamond Mountain Vineyard in California’s Napa Valley, who himself bought it in 2002. Check out photos of the gorgeous spread here.

Tyler has been no stranger to Maui in recent months, having performed there with Alice Cooper on New Years Eve at the Mala Wailea oceanfront restaurant in Wailea, Hawaii. A few weeks earlier, over the Christmas holiday, Tyler became engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Erin Brady, while on the island.

Tyler and Brady also reportedly took part in some sort of bizarre ceremony involving what looks like bubbles, a conch shell and other random items with a local spiritual guru of some sort to bless what we can only assume is their new property, although it’s hard to tell for sure from the pictures. How’s that for vague?

Regardless, it looks like Tyler and Brady are getting ready for some serious nesting.
