This week in 1969, Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker bid the world goodbye with an album by the same name, closing the book on rock’s very first supergroup. Like Wheels of Fire, Goodbye blended live recordings with studio recordings. The album's most celebrated contribution to the Cream legacy was a tune simply named “Badge.”

Jack Bruce the great rock artist and bass player who came on the scene with Cream is spotlighted in the new two-disc anthology collection 'Sunshine Of Your Love: A Life In Music' on sale now. Jack died last year (10/25/14) he was 71, and on Saturday his career will be celebrated at an all-star memorial concert at the Roundhouse in London.
