Donald ‘Duck’ Dunn, Bassist For Booker T. & the MG’s, Dies At 70
Donald "Duck" Dunn, one of the most important bass players in the history of Rock & Roll, passed away in his sleep at the age of 70 Sunday in Tokyo. Duck and guitarist Steve Cropper were high school classmates who joined Stax Records in Memphis in the early Sixties to play with Booker T. & The MGs — whose "Green Onions" became an immediate hit.
