ET Rover pipeline

The need for a natural gas pipeline to be built through Lapeer County has been eliminated because of a deal between ET Rover and an existing pipeline owner. Rover Pipeline, a subsidiary of Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners, announced the route change in a press release yesterday, bringing relief for residents and townships along the proposed route.

You have a chance to address the agency charged with reviewing ET Rover’s proposed 830-mile pipeline project tonight at Maniaci Banquet on North Main Street in Richmond starting at 6 PM. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) will discuss its environmental review process and hear comments from property owners and members of the public about the proposed project.

Officials in AtticaTownship have adopted a resolution opposing the proposed ET Rover pipeline. The gas line would cross into Attica Township between Hunters Creek and Sutton Roads. Environmental, safety, property value and additional EMS and fire department training cost concerns are listed in the document.
