Family Literacy Center’s annual Camel Races are going on at the Center Building this Friday. Wooden racing camels, decorated by local sponsors, racing down the field to the toss of the big, fuzzy dice. First to cross the finish line wins.

The Family Literacy Center in Lapeer accepts donations of new and gently-used books for all ages and reading levels on a daily basis and passes them on to the public to encourage literacy.
