As of Sunday, December 1st, the sale of recreational marijuana became legal in Michigan... at three locations... in Ann Arbor. So what about the rest of us?
In the 2018 mid-term elections Michigan voters said yes to Prop 1, which legalizes possession and recreational use of marijuana for those over the age of 21, but when does the law go into effect?
New stats show that there are a total of 218,556 patients with Medical Marijuana cards in Michigan, plus an additional 38,057 who have caretaker cards. In Genesee County there are over 14,000 medical marijuana cardholders, which is up 80% since 2012.
