Kalin Lucas scored a career-high 30 points to help the surging Michigan State Spartans beat No. 9  Purdue 74 - 56 on Friday in the Big Ten tournament quarterfinals.  The Spartans take on the Penn State Nittany Lions today at 4:05p.

JaJuan Johnson had 20 points, a career-high 17 rebounds and seven blocks, leading No. 8 Purdue to a 67 - 47 win over Michigan State on Sunday.  Purdue won both regular-season matchups against the Spartans for the first time since 1997.  Kalin Lucas scored 15 of his 23 points in the first half for the Spartans and didn't get much help...
