One of my favorite actors died on this day in 1980.  "The King of Cool" Steve McQueen. Steve was 50 years old when he passed away from mesothelioma, an aggressive cancer affecting the membrane lining of the lungs and abdomen. He came from being a troubled kid who spent time in reform schools to become one of the world's most popular actors.
