Seth Churan just can't seem to keep himself out of trouble. Upon being released from jail this week, and just moments after retrieving his belongings from the Fraser Police Department, Churan is under arrest again for taking a swing at a TV reporter.

These Gentlemen Have a Long History

Churan and this particular reporter go way back. Rob Wolchek is an investigative reporter for Detroit's Fox-2 TV. Churan was featured on a segment Wolchek calls the 'Hall of Shame' back in 2020 after allegedly defrauding numerous people in the Metro Detroit area, taking deposits for construction work he apparently had no intention of completing.

Wolchek caught up with Churan at a Lowe's in the summer of 2020 to ask him about a pending lawsuit and his six arrests in the previous year.

"Get away from me man. I don't want to be on the news," Churan says, trying to evade Wolchek's questions. "It's against the law what you're doing right now."

As Churan leads the reporter through aisles of plants and flowers, Wolchek claps back:

"No, it’s not. What's against the law is what you've been doing. You were arrested six times last year, Seth, weren't you?"

The Pattern of Fraud Continued

In the video below, Wolchek talks with yet another victim who paid money for work that was never completed.

Detective Sgt. Ben Hoppe of the Fraser Police Department investigated his claim.

"He's never put in the fence. He's never had any intention of putting in the fence."

Churan was arrested and faced a judge last week on felony charges for taking money under false pretenses. It's just one of eleven cases pending against the man.

But somehow, even with a $50,000, no 10 percent bond, the man managed to bond out - which brings us to his release earlier this week.

As Luck Would Have It

As the Fox 2 reporter showed up at the Fraser police department to interview Sgt. Hoppe, Mr. Churan showed up at about the same time.

Microphone in hand and with a camera rolling, Wolchek was ready.

Churan, as you might expect, came out swinging. Not a smart move right in front of a police station.
