Actually a creation of Charles Dickens, his character from David Copperfield also became a hard edged art rock act in 1969, when Uriah Heep was born.  Although there has been an embarrassing amount of albums released over the years, it was only a few years during the early 1970's when this band really happened.  The classic line-up that did 'Demons and Wizards', 'The Magician's Birthday' and 'Sweet Freedom' will always be the true Uriah Heep, as most fans will agree, and it's those days we're getting into on today's Vinyl Vault.  Come on by for the rarely heard acoustic based track 'The Wizard' around 5:20 or so.  Out of town?  Listen live on-line.
