VIDEO: Amazon Driver Delivers Package, Then A Salute To National Guard Home

Sometimes the nicest surprises come at the most unexpected times. Take all the holiday Amazon packages being delivered day in and day out. Now through all the hustle and bustle of the holiday, it's easy to see how simple things like manners and respect for others can be lost and forgotten.

But never underestimate the power of a simple please or thank you or even...a salute. Those simple and kind gestures are the secret ingredients that can make someone truly happy this holiday season.

Take this typical Amazon package porch drop off for example-

An Amazon driver gave customer Amanda LeCureaux from New Baltimore a nice surprise recently. LeCureaux received a notification from her doorbell cam and noticed that an Amazon driver was dropping off a package in her doorway. After dropping off  the package the Amazon driver steps back and gives her doorway a big salute.

“I started to play it…and it showed him saluting, and I was like, ‘oh my gosh,’” said Amanda. - WXYZ CH-7 News

LeCureaux whose husband served in the National Guard is the reason for the respected act performed by the driver

“He was very honored they would do something like that,” Amanda said of her husband who has served in the Air National Guard for more than 13 years - WXYZ CH-7 News

.LeCureaux thought the gesture was sweet and tried to flag down the driver but he had already left.

“My husband and I thought with all the negative stuff going on in the world…that was really sweet,” she said. WXYZ CH-7 News
